People
Berni: Owner. Swiss-British: Gets excited about new craft products, and can't wait to put them on the website. Experience in marketing and international trade.
Kitisak: Genaral Manager. He makes the office work, also knows a lot about sourcing and production. He often tells Berni to calm down and the packing team to speed up.........
Napaporn: Berni's wife: She takes care of purchasing and finances, but she loves making cards as a hobby. She also takes care of 2 kids: Alex, (6) will one day be art director, and Bobby (9) will be CEO! :)
Yo: Kitisak's wife; takes care of our production and packaging team, and is obsessive about product quality. She supervises a team of around 30 people at our production facility.
Boy: Picks orders and gets irate if orders are still around when the office closes or he goes home, generally before the office closes!
Toy: She takes care of accounting, and is a pest at the end of the month, when she closes her accounts! (but a very nice pest, really!)
Tukda: Customer service. Follows up on back orders and customer enquiries. She signs her emails as Pattamas, her more formal name. She is busy studying for an MBA after work.
Jiab: Keeps the office tidy, and packs products beautifully when she has a spare moment. Jiab also packs a salt of the earth humour, and knows more than most about office gossip!
Moh: Helps Tukda sometimes, and also keys sales and purchases into our accounting system so that we can get the orders out on time.
Poen: Spends most of his time between stamping factories, and other suppliers. He dodges Bangkok traffic on his motorbike, and competes with Berni in reaching 100kg
Oy: Packs orders before Boy gets irate because he wants to go home. She is a big girl, and saves our customers shipping costs by compacting the parcels that she packs.
Noon: Does graphic design and prints reams of mulberry paper for printed diecuts. Berni and Noon argue about the perfect beak on our latest penguin!
Skilled Hands:Finishing a diecut.... Patience, concentration and an eye for detail are required for this demanding job. These people are the unsung heroes of Bernico.....
Ong: Supports Toy in being a pest, and is very successful in her mission. She likes spicy food, and always says that it is nearly tasteless to trick the unwary!
Our production team: We have a small production facility on the outskirts of Bangkok. It is a small, friendly place, and a comfortable and safe working environment. Here we make all our diecuts and a number of our toppers. We are proud of our workers, and the compliments we have received about our product quality is really a compliment to them.
